1. After joining The Warriors, what do you think about the whole experience?
- I was glad to be asked by Saxby to join as their guitarist, it was a slow start but we all got there in the end. It was a great experience! loved every second of it.
2. What is your favorite Warrior's song?
- The Last Resort, John Fila, Predater, Working Class Kids.
3. Who are your favorite bands?
- Slayer, Black Sabbath, Pantera, ACDC, Led Zeppling, Hendrix, Soulfly, Machine Head, SORB, anything were the guitar is out front basically.
4. Why did you leave The Warriors?
- I had to leave The Warriors; I moved to far away, my wife got a great new job as a scientist. I technically have not left The Warriors, if they are stuck for a guitar player for what ever reason; they know they can give me a call anytime to help out.
5. Do you have plans to join another band in your new city?
- Yes I do sooner the better, I am in the process of checking out the music scene here, lets see what Swindon has to offer.
6. Do you have any favorite experiences at a gig? If you do could you tell us, what, when and where they were ?
- Punk & Disorderly in Berlin was fantastic, the venue, the fans, the organisation was the best. Rebellion at Blackpool was good also because this was my last gig with The Warriors as their permanant guitarist.
7. Do you have any comments on the UK punk and skins scene?
- Yes I do! Unite The Scene. There is little or no money in the UK to put gigs on, no one really can afford it, less is more if you understand that philosophy. Rebellion is the daddy of all gigs in the UK. Europe has the right idea especially Germany they seem to still like lots of gigs and they love English bands so there is plenty of opportunities to play in the EU if your an English band.
8. And the last question, do you have any comments for webculturezine readers?
- Yes sure, be awesome to eachother. What ever it is you do in life, career or hobby; do it to the best of your ability, never, never, give up on the things that make you happy.

Hey , I'm sorry to say the band is no more.. but I'll answer the questions anyway.
1. Hello guys, could you tell us about your band's history?
the band started in 2005 combining rock n' roll with punk, some of us played in rock n' roll bands and others in punk.
2. Is there any meaning to your band name?
The band name 5 Shots O' Whiskey comes from the song 5 Shots of Whiskey , it's a country song were the lyrics say: give me 5 Shots Of whiskey to help kill the misery, and that's what the band was all about, giving people a good time, with positive lyrics.
3. What are your musical influences?
we were influenced by a lot of different styles, mostly english/american punk
4. In Netherlands you played with some Oi!/punk bands?
we've played with a lot of bands but the best we've played with was Tech-9 Streetpunk
5. Most of your songs are about what?
Our songs are about stuff that happens in real life, it's all straight in your face, sometimes it's packed in a small story.
6. We heard your song called "As Real as it Gets", what is this song about?
As real as it gets is about the music industry, and we think it sucks so it's better to stay independent.
7. What is the meaning behind the cover picture on your “East Without A Coast” album?
The cover of East without a coast is made of aspects of the album, there's something in the cover from a few songs, hit by a mill, the curse, motel hell ( a song about terrorism)

1. could you tell us your band's history?
Vicious Rumours formed in 1979, we've had a few changes in musical direction aswell as members over the years,
as do most bands Over such a long a long period of time,
during the early eighties we were involved in the oi! scene that swept through Britain and europe
either supporting the major bands of the time... BUSINESS, 4SKINS, PATTTB, ANGELIC UPSTARTS etc
or headlining gigs with the 'second wave' of oi bands that emerged.
We stopped playing in 1988 after 'the main event' gig at the astoria due to
being disillusioned with what was happening at the gigs, (fighting, politics, etc) It stopped being fun.
We got together again in 2000 briefly, with shows around europe and the USA. However due to us all being in different countries by then it was
almost impossible to continue as we wanted. John M did some shows and recording in the USA in the early 2000's
We have recently decided to Get together again, well, as much as we can. And look foward to concerts and recordings starting in December this year
2. who plays in the band now?
John Mundy...guitar vocals, John Coupé...bass Vocs, Danny Shoobert....Drums.
We will be using another guitarist for shows.
3. do you have a new album?
Farticus will be released in the summer, It's a collection of demos,
and recorded songs that were previously only available in the USA
4. besides the band, what do you guys do?
John M is a personal trainer, and runs his own business in TEXAS, Dan runs a scaffolding firm,
And I am a builder/decorator
5. Do you have any plans to play in Asia, or Indonesia especially?
We've never been approached to play there, but if someone was to offer us a tour or something then
absolutely! I love to travel, and if we can do it with the band then even better!
6. we heard your song called “one thing's on our minds”, what is it about?
It's a song about only ever thinking about women and sex!
No matter what time of day, or situation.
a lighthearted look at the male's constant thoughts towards fornication!
Apparently men think of it every 3 minutes or something?
.....we think of it about every 3 seconds!
7. if you were to cover a song, which song would you want to cover?
We have done a few covers in our live shows over the years,
Bad Man by the cockney rejects,
If the kids are united by sham 69
Chip on my shoulder by cock sparrer
I'd like to record versions of some of my favourite songs, as a tribute
for the love of OI! by section 5
True punk and oi! will never die by resistance 77
outlaw by chron gen to name a few, there's a lot more!
8. what do you think about racism?
I don't agree with it, but we don't dicuss politics. There's too many idiots out there who
want to label us one thing or another
9. and how is your punk and skins scene right now?
Where I live it's a very small scene, but I live in a small town.
London, however is becoming good again, with lots of concerts happening
10. Have you had any trouble with the police?
As a band? not really, we never had reason to get involved with the police
we were escorted from gigs before after crowd trouble at a few gigs
It's not something we either sung about or were involved in
Violence is pretty pointless.
11. Do you have a comment for webculturezine and for webculturezine readers?

It's nice to hear from people in countries that we know very little about their 'scene'
